For decades, Polish folk music had been a domain of old-fashioned - if not uterrly cheesy - groups touring venerable theatres with their lifeless programmes. Thankfully, two last decades overthrew the stale order and gave birth to the movement which could be refered as “post-folk” or, much more illustrative, “folk-on-meth”. Among the numerous emerged bands attributed to be the driving force of such an ethnic revival, Żywiołak holds a truly unique position.
