There are artists in the music world you just have to see live, whatever the ticket price is. This is even
more true for classic roots reggae singers: they are in late 50's or 60's now and, sadly, sometime
you can clearly see the years of struggle and poverty carved onto their faces. We've been enjoying a vibrant
and powerful performance of Johnny Clarke at Reggaeland 2010 stage, while a devastating news of Sugar Minott's
death reached us.

Johnny Clarke is without doubt one of the most popular singers of the roots era. His greatest successes were born of the fruitful cooperation with producer Bunny Lee. Several albums released in the late 70’s established Clarke’s reputation in Jamaica - yet songs like “Blood Dunza”, “African Roots” or “None Shall Escape the Judgement” quickly became classics and are considered to be the very foundation of reggae music.
