Looking at the etno music world, one can clearly see two different, yet not necessarily contradictory approaches. While first tries to make traditional music more accessible by blending in modern elements (notably electronic instruments), the second one digs even deeper and sticks to original melodies, bringing to life music as it could have sounded some hundred or more years ago.
