Karrot Kommando day would not be complete without Paprika Korps. Among other bands from label’s catalogue this perhaps is the dearest to its founders - it all started from there. Paprika’s exotic Eastern European tours are now legendary, as no other Polish band would wander around Romania, Lithuania or Finland serving a strange (yet innovative) mixture of reggae and rock.

The discussion whether Paprika Korps is a proper reggae band lasted for years (at least in Poland). In the meanwhile, the band toured Europe playing hundreds of concerts and paying no attention to music critics' dilemmas. Instead, they developed their own genre and named it "heavy reggae". This gig was special for me, as I wanted to get some nice shots of leader, Piotrek Maślanka, and was allowed to join the band on stage throughout the show.
