After seeing Gentleman’s great show at One Love festival last autumn, I was eager to check him out in the open-air concert, anticipating the Woodstock performance in August. Fifty hundred kilometer drive and a sleepless night were a fair price for a vigorous, long set served by Gentleman and the Evolution Band.
Although show in Olsztyn lacked a wonderful medley of roots classics we could hear in Wroclaw, it was a pure pleasure to see several thousand people rocking to the sounds of Gentleman’s hits. To my amazement, the audience actually knew most of the lyrics and sang along - this is rare in Poland, particularly when students festivals are considered!
