Wroclaw’s One Love Festival stands as a spark of joy enlightening the dull and monotonous autumn months. Offering a steady mix between modern reggae and the Jamaican classics, the festival became one of the most popular indoor reggae events in Europe. Etana, an already successful roots talent from Jamaica was one of the headliners of 2011 edition.

Etana was backed by the mighty French riddim-band Dub Akom. Technical info: the stage was over two meters high and it was hard to get a nice-looking angle even with a two-step ladder (and the monitors at the edge didn’t help either). Even though the lighting looked like a good setup, the good light itself was scarce. Had the stage been lower, I’d at least have a chance to play with the primes. Instead, I had to hunt for the bare minimum with 80-200 working at the long end for most of the time.
